This is autumn.   
This is the time of year that leaves say their goodbyes to trees and begin writing their crunchy memoirs, and when those who stay behind get cold and sick and orange and yellow and pretty. It's the season when warm days and wind raise the spirit into a level of freedom not experienced in the gaol of summer, spring, or winter; and it's when the unforgivable and infectious cold teaches us all just how warm warmth is.   
Some would say autumn is death and some would say it's life. Some set it aside as the part of the year during which to give thanks for one's existence, while others yet take C'est automne
